LUIS MUÑOZ MARÍN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Project Summary:

A Concession Agreement with Aerostar Airport Holdings LLC that allows the company to operate and improve the Luis Muñoz Marín airport. The government maintains the asset ownership and participates in revenues generated by the airport.

Scope of Work:

Achieve operational efficiency, increase airline and passenger capacity, undertake improvements and general maintenance.

Impact:

In 2009 the airport handled 4,635,798 passenger boardings and 222,932 short tons of cargo. Luis Muñoz Marín airport is the main entry point to the Island, both domestically and internationally.
