Project Description

Provide additional generation capacity through the identification of a site for the potential installation of a combined‑cycle generation plant to strengthen the reliability, resiliency, and efficiency of Puerto Rico’s generation fleet.

Scope of Work

Identify, permit, finance, design, build and operate a new generation facility that will help manage the variating demand of generation in Puerto Rico. Reduce the cost of power generation due to the fuel primarily being used in this new generation plant.

Impact

This project helps decrease the cost of power generation by further diversifying the fuel consumption within the generation fleet. This project will also provide stability of Puerto Rico’s electrical grid by adding a new, modern, and efficient generation plant.
