Project Description

A strategic maritime infrastructure initiative designed to modernize passenger and cargo transit across the Cataño-San Juan and Ceiba-Vieques-Culebra transit corridors. This partnership structurally reduces the fiscal burden of state subsidies by optimizing operational efficiency and asset lifecycle management.

Scope of Work

A comprehensive Operations, Maintenance, and Financing contract. The scope mandates the execution of maritime routes alongside the deployment of modernized digital infrastructure, encompassing integrated e-ticketing systems and real-time transit telemetry.

Impact

Ensure the operational reliability and logistical resilience of maritime lifelines for the municipal residents of Vieques and Culebra. This initiative serves as a primary economic catalyst for Puerto Rico's tourism sector, securely facilitating the transit of thousands of domestic and international passengers annually.
